Steward Training
OFNHP's Steward training is facilitated by OFNHP staff members.
Classes are scheduled monthly, on Wednesday and Saturdays, to allow for those with different schedules to participate.
This training class offers the nuts and bolts of member representation, communication and leadership. Attendees will come away with a solid base of knowledge and expectations about the role and responsibilities of the union steward. Weingarten Rights are reviewed along with Duty of Fair Representation issues. The grievance process is discussed along with components of just cause, joint discovery, corrective action and arbitration.
